Deploy the Phabricator project on top of a Bitnami LAMP or MAMP installation with these modules
Bitnami Phabricator Module is a free project that offers multiplatform native installers for deploying the Phabricator web-based application on top of existing Bitnami LAMP (Linux, Apache, MySQL and PHP) or MAMP (Mac, Apache, MySQL and PHP) stacks. The Phabricator modules do not include Phabricator’s runtime dependencies.
What is Phabricator?
Phabricator is a free, platform-independent and open source collection of web-based apps whose main design goal is to help developers build better software. It is created by developers for developers, so they can work more efficiently on their software projects. Key features include a meme generator, as well as support for the Git, Mercurial and Subversion version control systems.
Installing Bitnami Phabricator Module
The Bitnami Phabricator Module product is distributed as native installers that are fully compatible with all GNU/Linux operating systems and all Bitnami LAMP installations. To deploy Phabricator on top of your LAMP stack, download the package that corresponds to your computer’s hardware architecture (64-bit or 32-bit), make the .run file executable, double-click it, and follow the on-screen instructions.
Deploy Phabricator on the cloud or virtualize it
Besides installing Phabricator on your personal computer, you can deploy it on the cloud using the pre-built cloud images created by Bitnami for the Amazon EC2 or Windows Azure cloud hosting providers.
Additionally, it is possible to virtualize Phabricator, thanks to Bitnami’s virtual appliance based on an LTS (Long Term Support) release of the Ubuntu Linux operating system and designed to work with the VMware ESX/ESXi and Oracle VirtualBox virtualization software.
The Bitnami Phabricator Stack
In addition to the Bitnami Phabricator Module product, which can only be used to install the Phabricator software on top of a Bitnami LAMP or MAMP stack, Bitnami also offers an all-in-one installer called Bitnami Phabricator Stack, designed to help anyone deploy Phabricator and all of its runtime dependencies on personal computers.
